I was born in 1972 into a musical family. My mother was a primary school teacher who played piano, took guitar and choirs groups and coordinated the school music program from kindergarten to year six. My father would have been a jazz saxophonist if he could have afforded to attend Music College in his youth. He still plays to this day.
My earliest childhood memories are of music. There was never a time when I was not surrounded by it. Music was the only thing that would hold my attention for any longer than five minutes. |
My brother (now also a saxophonist and university music lecturer) and I were always given the best possible opportunities in life that our parents could afford. Our respective talents and gifts were constantly nurtured and lovingly supported and for this I am so fortunate and grateful.
From the moment I began piano lessons at the age of nine I simply never wanted to do anything else. I immediately realised that music and the piano were my future vocation. |
It is my belief that you don’t choose music. Music chooses you. Music is not now, nor has it ever been just my career. It is my very deep passion.
Welcome to my website.
I hope you enjoy exploring my musical world. |
