“Teaching is very close to my heart. It is my way of honouring all of the wonderful mentors and teachers who have helped me to achieve my goals. I believe it is my duty to continue the musical legacy which has been passed on to me and countless others before me by inspiring the hearts and minds of future generations to come.
I was once told that if you are going to teach, you have to give up all of your secrets – everything you know. My best teachers have always been those who never imposed their will or their personal tastes upon me. Rather, they helped me to find the music inside myself. It is this philosophy by which I try daily to instruct my own students.” |
